Vietnamese common greetings

Language is a fundamental part of a country; hence it’s vital for everyone who wants to travel a country. Let’s imagine that if you are able to speak its language, you will be likely to experience that country and acquire culture knowledge easily. You also can make many friends, hang out with them and enjoy authentic local cuisines. Besides it’s a great way to show your respect to that country. I’m a Vietnamese so today I would to like to write down some common greetings and daily communication which may be helpful for every one visiting Viet Nam.
  • Xin chào / chào bạn  ( Hello )
  • Buổi sáng tốt lành( Good morning)
  • Rất vui được gặp bạn ( It’s nice to meet you )
  • Chào buổi tối ( Good evening)
  • Chúc ngủ ngon  ( Good night)
  • Bạn có khỏe không ( How are you ? )

Tôi khỏe , còn bạn ( I’m fine and you ? )

  • Bạn tên là gì ? ( What is your name ? )

Tôi tên là …….. ( My name is ……. )

  • Bạn đến từ đâu  ? ( Where do you come from ? )

Tôi đến từ ……       ( I come from …… )

  • Bạn bao nhiêu tuổi  ? ( How old are you ?)

Tôi …….. tuổi    ( I’m …….. years old )

  • Tôi xin lỗi   ( I’m sorry )
  • Tạm biệt  ( Goodbye )
  • Làm ơn cho hỏi ( Excuse me )
  • Tôi không biết ( I don’t know )
  • Tôi không hiểu ( I don’t understand )
  • Bao nhiêu tiền ( How much ? )
